It has been five days since my last blog.  We are still in isolation so what can I tell you of my activities at home?  As usual, during this time of confinement, I am cooking (made a great Fish Chowda). That’s the way they say it in Boston.

I purchase frozen wild fish directly from Alaska.  A box with dry ice is delivered every two months which lasts until the next delivery.  I order Sable, which is known as Black Cod.  If you are lucky enough to see it on the menu in a restaurant, order it. My box also contains Halibut, Rockfish, Cod and two kinds of Salmon.  Actually three, if you count the Smoked Salmon that we serve at  Sunday Brunch with bagels, cream cheese, red onion and slices of tomato.  We add capers if there is a gourmet in the house… Ummm.

When they have special fish that only run in different seasons, they send us an email so we can order before they sell out. They communicate often and even send recipes.  I have tried several of their recipes, and it makes cooking. not only easier, but delicious.
